Vinyl fencing

Vinyl Fences in Jacksonville, FL

Vinyl costs more the day it goes in and asks for nothing afterward: no staining, no sealing, no graying. If you plan to stay in the house and do not want a maintenance item in the backyard, that up-front difference is what you are buying out of.

Is this the right fit

Best for

  • Homeowners who do not want to maintain a fence at all
  • HOA neighborhoods that want a clean, uniform look across the street
  • Yards where sprinklers, planting beds or a pool keep the fence line damp
  • Replacing a wood fence that has already failed once

Honest trade-offs

  • Higher up-front cost than wood for the same run
  • Rigid panels can crack under a hard impact rather than take a dent
  • Color choices are limited compared with a paintable surface, and vinyl is not repainted later
  • It reads as more uniform and less textured than wood, which is a matter of taste

Vinyl styles we install

Full privacy panels

Tongue-and-groove panels with no sightlines, the standard backyard screening build.

Semi-privacy and lattice-top

Solid panel with an open top section, used where you want light and air over the top of the screen.

Picket and ranch rail

Open profiles for front yards, property definition and larger lots.

Vinyl gates

Single walk gates and double drive gates in matching panel styles with reinforced frames.

The real decision

Is the up-front difference worth it for you?

We will not tell you vinyl is always the answer. Four questions decide it, and we work through them with you at the estimate.

How long are you staying in the house?
The longer the horizon, the more the maintenance difference matters and the less the up-front gap does. Short horizon, and wood is the sensible call.
Would you actually maintain a wood fence?
Be honest here. A wood fence that never gets attention ages faster than one that does, and vinyl removes the question entirely.
How wet does the fence line stay?
Irrigation, planting beds and shade keep wood damp. Those are the spots where vinyl earns the difference fastest.
How close are you to the ocean?
At the beaches, hardware and fasteners take the beating. Vinyl does not corrode, which is why so many coastal replacements go this direction.

Jacksonville conditions

Vinyl in coastal Northeast Florida

Salt air

Vinyl does not corrode, which is why it shows up so often on beaches-side replacements where fasteners and hardware were the first thing to go on the old fence.

Sprinklers and hard water

Vinyl does not rot from constant spray, though irrigation with heavy mineral content can leave marks that wash off. Wood would have been decaying in the same spot.

Heat and expansion

Panels expand and contract with Florida heat swings, so they are installed to allow that movement rather than pinned rigid.

Wind on solid panels

A full-privacy vinyl run catches wind like any solid fence. Post setting and spacing are what carry that load, and we plan them for exposed lots.

Scope

How we install vinyl

Vinyl is a system, so the posts and the layout have to be right before panels go in.

  1. 01Layout and gate positions confirmed on site, with panel lengths planned to avoid awkward cut sections
  2. 02Posts set for the panel system and for sandy soil
  3. 03Panels installed with room for thermal movement, rails and caps finished out
  4. 04Gates hung, hardware adjusted, cleanup and walkthrough
  5. 05New installation and complete replacement only, no repair-only vinyl work

Installation and replacement only

We install new fences and complete fence replacements only. We do not take on repair-only jobs such as replacing a few pickets, resetting a single post or patching an existing fence.

Cost drivers

What moves the price on a vinyl fence

Vinyl pricing is driven by the panel system and the layout more than by labor hours.

  • Linear footage and panel height
  • Panel profile, since full privacy uses more material than picket or ranch rail
  • Color and texture selection within the systems we install
  • Gate count, gate width and reinforcement on wide gates
  • Grade changes, which need stepped panels rather than racked ones
  • Tear-out and haul-away of an existing fence

"They did great work, always communicating, great prices and hard work. I would highly recommend this company to any one that needs a fence built or replaced."
